USAID ORGANIZES CONFERENCE ON SOCIAL AND CHILD PROTECTION SERVICES Sarajevo, April 11, 2006 – The U.S. Government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is pleased to announce it will organize a conference on standardization of social and child protection services. The conference will start on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at 10.30 a.m. in Tuzla Hotel in Tuzla. All media are invited. The conference will focus on experiences gained in Tuzla Canton through ten years of work on standardization of social and child protection professional services and development of the fostering model. Topics will include promotion of fostering and recruitment of new foster families, assessment and training of foster families, and regional experiences. USAID supports the Promotion and Development of Alternative Forms of Care for Children Deprived of Parental Care in BiH project implemented by Save the Children UK (SCUK) in Tuzla Canton. The project’s objective is to decrease the number of children deprived of parental care in institutions. The project has developed and piloted a foster care model that provides a family environment and promotes the best development environment for children. |
USAID ORGANIZIRA KONFERENCIJU O SOCIJALNOJ I DJEČIJOJ ZAŠTITI
Sarajevo,11. april 2006. – Američka vlada, putem Američke agencije za međunarodni razvoj (USAID), organizira konferenciju o standardizaciji usluga socijalne i dječije zaštite. Konferencija počinje u srijedu, 12. aprila 2006. godine, u 10.30 sati u hotelu Tuzla u Tuzli. Svi mediji su pozvani da prisustvuju ovom događaju.
Na konferenciji će se razgovarati o iskustvima iz Tuzlanskog kantona stečenim tokom deset godina rada na standardizaciji profesionalnih usluga vezanih za socijalnu i dječiju zaštitu, te razvoju modela hraniteljstva za djecu bez roditeljskog staranja. Učesnici će također govoriti o promoviranju hraniteljstva i animiranju novih hraniteljskih porodica, obuci i procjeni hraniteljskih porodica, te o regionalnim iskustvima.
USAID prodržava projekat «Promocija i unapređenje alternativnih oblika brige za djecu bez roditeljskog staranja», koji u Tuzlanskom kantonu primjenjuje Save the Children UK (SCUK). Cilj projekta je da se smanji broj djece bez roditeljskog staranja koja borave u institucijama. Projekat razvija model hraniteljstva, koji takvoj djeci obezbjeđuje smještaj u porodičnom okruženju.
