TO OPEN ONE STOP SHOPS IN GRADAČAC

Sarajevo, March 13, 2007 – USAID Mission Director Jane Nandy and Swedish Sida Director Anders Hedlund will open a new One Stop Shop (OSS) in Gradačac on Wednesday, March 14, 2007. 

            The OSS space in Gradačac municipality was remodeled through the Government Accountability Project (GAP) with a contribution from the municipality.  The municipality has received a full package of technical assistance from GAP.  The One Stop Shop staff was trained in customer service and public relations.

            The Gradačac municipality has also received four grants from GAP.  They were used for street light reconstruction, construction of Vida and Mionica sport fields and installation of a water filtering station.

            The U.S. Government, through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) jointly funded the $20 million GAP.  The project assists local governments in BiH to increase their efficiency and accountability.
