Sarajevo, 2007 – The U.S. Government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), congratulates the BiH Tourism Cluster and authors of the “Enjoy Life in BiH” tourism promotional spots for winning a silver award at the world’s largest annual tourism fair in Berlin.  The “Enjoy Life” spot took second place in the “regions” category at the 6th International Golden Gate film festival, known as the “Oscars” of the tourism film industry.  The USAID Mission Director Jane Nandy will present the award to spot makers on Monday, March 19, at 11:30 am at Media Center’s premises, Kolovorska 3, Sarajevo..

            The film was produced by Refresh Productions of Sarajevo as part of USAID’s support to the BiH tourism sector.  In addition to the “Enjoy Life” videos and TV ads, USAID supported the design and construction of a new BiH tourism trade show booth, a tourism logo, and a variety of brochures and promotional materials.  These activities aim to improve BiH’s image and make it more attractive to foreign tourists.

            Through its Cluster Competitiveness Activity (CCA), USAID works to improve tourism sites and events, develop a BiH tourism policy, and train tourism professionals. USAID supports economic growth in BiH by advancing the business success of the country’s tourism and wood sectors.
